Assessment

Overview of Lesson:

  • “Students will demonstrate their knowledge of various geometric shapes by creating a Podcast for the class.
  • Activate students prior knowledge of geometry by discussing the basic shapes they had previously learned. Refresh their memories by showing them the models of the shapes. Have them repeat the shape names and gave examples of an object with that shape.”
  • Students will work cooperatively and collaboratively with peers while using technology.”
  • “Each student worked within their groups by drawling a picture of items that could find around the school property. This provided enrichment and allows those students who are artistic and visual/spatial learners to demonstrate their skills successfully.”
  • “Each student in the group took at least one picture of his/her chosen shapes.
  • “They chose the six best pictures to use in their Podcast.”
